Dr. Yanika Micallef was born on the 10th of June 1995. She obtained her Warrant under the Laws of Malta in 2019 after successfully completing her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2017 and Master of Advocacy in 2018 from the University of Malta.
She successfully submitted and defended her dissertation entitled ‘The Notion of Excusability in Error as a Vice of Consent’ in 2017.
During University, Dr. Micallef was a legal intern at a Law Firm specialising in Civil and Criminal Litigation where her practice focused on gaining experience within the Legal Field. Furthermore, she obtained a great understanding of the interpretation of the Laws of Malta, familiarised herself with Maltese and European Jurisprudence and expanded her drafting skills.
Prior to joining Dr Werner & Partner, Dr. Micallef worked with an Accounting Firm focusing on Data Protection Legislation, more specifically the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
She has good experience in team management gained through her experience as a TEFL Teacher in Malta. Her aim was to offer better learning prospects to foreign students and to support their educational development.
In 2019, Yanika joined Dr Werner & Partner as a Lawyer.
