During my time as a consultant, I have had many international clients. Over time, I can say that I have seen many different ways to set up and manage a company.
I have noticed many things, some of them are extreme examples, both positive and negative. I have seen many company founders failing, often because they did not accept any help, but I have also seen many company founders who were well structured and prepared at the beginning, which helped them to be very successful.
Today, I would like to talk about what steps a company can take in order to have continued success.
When starting a company, it is important to take into account many factors that can affect company activity and paying attention to them from the beginning. The first step could be to take a piece of paper and write down everything that comes to mind. Then these items have to be organised. At this point it is important to check them regularly and add new factors. Only if you know the parameters that influence the success of your company, you can react accordingly.
Furthermore, I think it is also equally important to set yourself goals for your company. I have made good experiences with the three-tier system: short-term, medium-term and long-term goals. It is up to you to set a time-frame for these objectives. Short-term goals require small steps, and it is important to make the goal achievable. A higher level can also have a greater goal. In my opinion, this is in an ongoing process that should never be stopped. A company is always developing further, and it is important to be able to adapt to the economic environment.
These two aspects are very specific, yet kept quite general, but they can be put to use in your own company. The sooner you take care of their implementation, the sooner they will show effect and success. The best thing is even to implement them as soon as the company is founded!
