The busiest day at the ICE Totally Gaming conference in London was dominated by managing directors. The operators had the chance to talk to CEO’s, CFO’s, COO’s and other people in managing positions. Even if you do not have a lot to do with online gambling, either personal or for business purposes, the second day of the conference really showed why this market is growing rapidly in two figures.
TipBet’s booth was very busy, and agreements and contracts were made. We were even integrated in contractual negotiations regarding conciliation, mediation and draft contracts that were handled by Dr. Werner in German and Dr. Magro in English. We also talked about a legal opinion regarding “VAT on Online Gambling” in the context of the changes of VAT-rules for e-commerce. A lot is changing for the operators, and one of our clients asked us to create a legal opinion about this issue.
The second day of the conference was very long for us – we spoke with many affiliates and online providers regarding company formation in Malta and optimisation of the tax burden with a Maltese company. A company in Malta can be a very effective tool to save taxes. The third day of the conference is supposed to be a little quieter, and we are looking forward to evaluating our experiences.
